Betsy Kent

After retiring from her teaching career, Betsy devoted her time to learning to paint in watercolors.  Flowers are her passion but In the last year she has expanded her knowledge to include acrylic landscapes.

"I love to paint!  I retired from teaching, the children are grown and finally I have had the time and opportunity to follow a lifelong desire to paint. My focus is primarily in watercolor.   It is a whole new world and has added a dimension to my life that thrills me.  Meeting and working with talented artists, sharing experiences and constantly learning --  It is invigorating and rejuvenating and I am very grateful for life’s opportunities in the art world.  It is a dream come true for me!"

Education:
Worshops through ERAS and with out of town teachers.

Selected Exhibitions:
I show in various community locations through the ERAS group.

My paintings are also available at Castel Grisch Winery in Watkins Glen, at the Artisans Loft at the Landing in Pultneyville and at Pritchards Jewelry in Elmira Heights.  It’s the greatest honor to have someone appreciate your work enough to purchase a painting.
