Jacqueline C. Satterlee

I was introduced to painting during my stay in
Africa as a child, and have painted on and off since then.  I enjoy oil, pastels and acrylic, and lately watercolor, and also take a lot of pictures.

In other artistic interests, in the past I  was the co-founder of the Embroiderer's Guild of America, Chemung Valley Chapter, and recently joined the Chemung Valley Fiber Arts Guild where I enjoy spinning and knitting.

Education:

Art courses during my BA and MS studies.
Workshops with local artists (Brian Keeler, Wilson Ong, Tom Gardner, Cynthia Harrington and Ron Dixon, and week long workshops with Hongnian Zhang in Woodstock, NY, and Stephen Quiller in Old Forge,NY.

I create and maintain web sites for individual artists and set up two solo exhibitions in local area for foreign artists.

Awards:

Recipient of the Arnot Art Gallery Regional Show award in the late 1970's for the painting "Lucienne".

The painting "Sisters" was picked for the invitations for the Gmeiner Art Gallery presenting ERAS art show in 2011.

I show my work regularly with the ERAS group in and around Elmira, as well as the Athens Art Fest, the Arnot Mall. and Castel Grisch Winery and Restaurant in Watkins Glen
